Are you seeking an opportunity to be a Head of Department at an excellent firm? This is a leading Legal 500 firm and topping the tables is their Property Litigation Department.

Are you ambitious and desire to become a Partner? This firm are succession planning for the future!

The firm

This firm has one of the most well-respected names for quality Property work across London. They are a multi-service practice, with Real Estate flavour throughout all the other departments.

The firm punches well above their weight and their main competitors are impressively some Top 50 firms, they deal on par with some of the country's most well-known law firms. They are ranked highly in the Legal 500 and in the last five years they have nearly doubled in size. This is due to a dynamic team, some strategic key hires, and an influx of work.

They have attracted many Lawyers from Central London practices, looking for a more collegiate, friendly culture where staff can make more of an impact and feel valued. You will also find there is much more in the way of staff flexibility and work-life balance. They act for companies such as John Lewis, Arcadia and Vodafone.

The firm is very entrepreneurial and is ahead of the curve on the changing legal landscape; they have recently invested in artificial intelligence, using state of the art software allowing staff to save days of work. This firm is the only SME sized law firm using it, DLA Piper and other big names have used it for several years. It is this approach and strong leadership why they remain to be highly profitable.

The role

This Property Litigation Head of Department role will be based in their flourishing and very impressive Harrow, London office.

They have grown substantially in recent years, making now is an exciting time to join.

They are in search of a ambitious candidate to become a key figure in the firm, they are now succession planning for the future!

You will join a flourishing department that deals with a truly excellent quality of work. You will be at the forefront of this department, dealing with both Commercial Property and HNW Residential Property Litigation.

The client base will be varied, making for a much more interesting role.

This role comes with excellent prospects for progression.

*You will need to be someone who is commercially minded and can evidence your success in business development - a following would be ideal, however, it is not imperitive as there is plenty of work at the firm - in terms of succession planning, it's important that you can evidence strong business development skills as the Partner would be handing over many strong client relationships and the firm want someone strong enough to retain this work and build up the department further.

Requirements:

  • You will be a Property Litigation Head of Department with at least five years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
  • You should have real commercial acumen
  • The ability to deliver first-class client care is essential
