A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a junior Financial Litigator to join the Leeds office of a major international and highly regarded law firm.

Our client are a leading international firm who are continuously growing and adding to their exceptionally impressive client base. They now have an expansion role within their award winning and Tier 1 Legal 500 finance litigation team to join them and hit the ground running. Clients within this team come from the financial services sector - within that they are as diverse as they could possibly be ranging from the big high street banks through to ABL's and high street lenders.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and highly driven junior litigator looking to start and establish their career at a firm with a first class reputation for the work they do. The firm act for some of the biggest names within banking and financial institutions on some of the best quality work there is. Furthermore upon joining the litigation team you will be working closely and learning from very well-respected extremely experienced solicitors, helping you to develop and grow in your career with a great support system behind you.

The role is varied across a range of banking litigation work and will involve dealing with matters such as asset finance related disputes, worldwide asset tracing and some recovery action cases. You will be required to handle your own case load with some supervision and will have the opportunity to assist the partners on the more complex work helping you hone your technical skills as a financial litigator.

You will also be encouraged, and well supported as you do, to get involved in BD helping you to develop and maintain your own long lasting relationships with clients. There is a genuine opportunity to make a difference in this respect and even quite junior lawyers within the team have influence over the work that comes in and some have even developed new clients. For the hard working candidates who can demonstrate the capability, there is room for progression within the team and a clear scope of where your career in this firm can take you.

Our client is keen to recruit someone NQ-3yrs pqe for this role however this is simply given as a guide and our client is happy to accept applications from candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant knowledge/experience to step into this role. They are happy to consider lawyers interested to find out more about the sector but lacking in the exact experience, if they find the right calibre of person with broad litigation experience they have the capacity to offer the training within financial services itself.
