Our client is a popular mid-tier firm which has a busy Corporate team as part of a full service offering to SME/OMB clients and regional businesses. The firm enjoys a positive culture and vibrant working environment, and works hard at its profile and visibility in the Leeds market.

With pressure of work they are interested to add further competency to their transactional Corporate team, and ideally that'll be someone with upwards of 2yrPQE such as to be comfortable being fully involved in mixed corporate work on arrival. There is a handful of partners in this department and so there is supervision available, but they are busy and hence hoping for someone who has a base of expertise from the outset.

Of paramount importance is for the firm to get someone who is a good communicator as there will be plenty of client contact with business owners and intermediaries. You will be involved in the departments networking and business development and will be given plenty of encouragement to foster your own connections. This is an un-pretentious team which gets on well as a group of people and shares a collective focus on client service, and so you'll be expected to subscribe to that ethos.

This firm has been known to be able to address the needs of individuals and so for the right candidate there can be some discussion around working flexibilities as they do appreciate that employees have differing personal circumstances and needs.

A good opportunity for a lawyer who genuinely wants to be part of a team and to have some responsibility of their own in a firm which is big enough to be competent but still compact enough to enjoy a close culture.
