Our client a Local Authority based in London is seeking a Housing Litigation Paralegal for three months initially.
The successful Housing Litigation Paralegal will be required to assist the Housing and Civil Litigation Department whilst concentrating predominantly on housing possessions work.
The Housing Litigation Paralegal can expect to undertake the following duties:
- Provide advice and draft correspondence on behalf of the Lawyer
- Prepare cases for hearings and to process a heavy caseload of possession matters
- Provide advocacy in routine cases
- Interview clients and witnesses and draft statements and prepare documents for court
- Instruct counsel
- Prepare bundles for court hearings
As this is a short term interim role it is essential you have a proven track record in this area. This is not a training opportunity role.
The council is based close to the local tube station and surrounded by a plethora of shops and restaurants.
