Planning Lawyer

Our client, a busy Local Authority are seeking an experienced Planning Lawyer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful Planning Lawyer will be required to carry a full and varied caseload from the outset dealing with the following matters:

• To act as a legal advisor to the client organisations in planning, large scale development and highways and other corporate or constitutional and administrative matters to ensure compliance with statutory duties and obligations and to protect the best interests of the client organisations.

• Advising and negotiating on projects involving multiple agencies and client interests, including the third sector and charitable organisations.

• To represent clients in negotiations and discussions with third parties in matters regarding the areas of legal practice relevant to the post.

Our client is looking for a Planning Lawyer with previous experience of handling a varied and complex caseload and ideally previous public sector experience. Candidates with the relevant experience from other sectors are encouraged to apply. The ability to work autonomously is essential for this role.
