Family Solicitor

TSR Legal have an exciting opportunity with a well-established, specialist law firm based in Bedford who are currently looking for a Family Solicitor to join their busy team.

You will be responsible for handling a mixed private family caseload to include divorce, finances, children’s matters, civil partnerships and emergency protection matters. It is essential for the right candidate to have experience in this area as there will be an emphasis on finances. You will need to demonstrate that you are able to provide a tailored and professional service to clients and conduct your own advocacy.

The caseload here is both varied and interesting and you will be given the opportunity to get involved in high value work. You will need to demonstrate an enthusiasm for business development and expanding your client base. Our client offers a very competitive salary as well as both quarterly and annual bonus earning opportunities.

The right person for this position will be commercially aware and be able to demonstrate experience in a variety of family matters. You will be expected to expand and develop privately funded work in the department while working on an existing caseload with two other fee earners. The role involves large amounts of client engagement and so it is important that you are an effective communicator with a strong ability to build working relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in dealing with high net worth matrimonial cases. Additional duties will include but are not limited to:

-          Generating new leads and developing case load in the area

-          Undertaking business development

-          Working cohesively with the firm’s other offices

Essential Skills:

-          Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a diverse caseload

-          Commercially astute and up to date with all family/matrimonial matters

-          Knowledge of business development

-          Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure

-          Ability to work in a team environment and share best practice with others

-          Strong relationship building and client management skills
