Our client, a leading international organisation are looking for an experienced construction lawyer to join them as in-house legal counsel in their legal team in Central London. You will benefit from a fantastic competitive salary along with brilliant benefits (bonus, great pension etc.) and a great working environment.

The position is within a team of 3 lawyers who are in need of someone with specific construction experience to reduce their dependence on external counsel. The role is focused around: advice and assistance on a range of client and supplier contracts and projects on a pro-active basis and within the overall corporate governance framework at a Business, Divisional and a Group level as agreed and appropriate to skills and experience. Specifically focusing on construction matters: supporting the Real Estate and Infrastructure business and the property business within the Government Services division on a range of projects relating to construction, design and engineering.

The successful candidate will be a legal counsel or senior legal counsel with strong post-qualification experience in construction and commercial law. The candidate will need to be a self-starter who is happy to work on a range of projects in a fast paced business environment. Previous in-house experience would be a benefit but not a necessity. While construction work is central to the role, it will come in peaks and troughs, so the successful candidate will also take up general commercial legal work at times.
