We are recruiting Contracts, Procurement and Information Law Lawyers/Senior Lawyers at HB Public Law.  HBPL is a leading public sector legal practice providing legal services to a number of Local Authorities, schools and other public bodies, in North West London and the Home Counties.  We are a Lexcel and IIP Gold accredited practice.

The role provides excellent career progression in a supportive and collaborative environment.  Applications are welcomed from NQ lawyers to experienced contracts lawyers.  Candidates from both the public and private sector are encouraged to apply for this position.  Full and part time/job share applications are considered.

About the position

The successful candidate will carry a varied caseload dealing with matters including: 

Providing advice and having conduct of legal files relating to contracts, procurement and information law matters

Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts to include construction contracts and service contracts

Supporting corporate projects and advising on contract related governance issues

Advising senior officers within the practice’s local authority clients and attendance at committees

Advising on procurements in compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations and other EU Legislation

The role is a career graded post encompassing grades G10, G11 and MG1.  Successful candidates who meet the threshold criteria for the relevant grade, as set out in the role profile, will be placed at the entry point for that grade.  Internal applications for advancement to the next grade are considered on an annual basis.
