Leading practice seeks a solicitor with solid Court of Protection experience on a permanent basis.

Working as part of a specialist department in the Harrow office, the successful solicitor will manage a complex and challenging caseload, advising individuals, carers, Official Solicitors and family members on a broad range of Court of Protection matters. A strong understanding and solid experience in Legal Aid is essential.

• Deprivation of liberty
• Cases concerning health and welfare
• Advising on applications regarding medical treatment
• Court of Protection proceedings
• Assessments of mental capacity
• Liaising with the Official Solicitor and Relevant Persons Representative
• Lasting powers of attorney
• Legal Aid applications
• Conducting own advocacy

The Candidate
• A solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE
• Technical proficiency in court of protection is essential
• Able to explain complex matters in clear, accessible language
• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Legal Aid processes
• Be professional, personable and detail orientated
• Has a consistently strong academic record
• Strives for high standards in their work
