Driven Mental Health Director/Solicitor sought for a prestige practice in Leicestershire.

This is a rare opportunity for Mental Health Director/Solicitor to join Lexcel accredited, well-established firm in Leicester. Our client seeks a dynamic, committed and highly driven Mental Health Panel Member, who has experience in assisting clients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.

• Attending clients, taking instructions and preparing cases and appeals
• Dealing with correspondence
• Maintaining accurate time costing procedures
• Implementing any recommendations made by a supervisor
• Ensuring compliance with file management
• Undertaking own advocacy

The Candidate
• Solicitors with a minimum of two years’ PQE in mental health matters
• Registered with the Law Society on the Mental Health Panel
• Experience in supervision of staff will be advantageous
• Passion and experience in a broad range of public-funded mental health law
• Strong academic background with a law degree
• Clear understanding and application of mental health law
• Business acumen and the ability to market the company
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
