Childcare Locum (Home-working available)

Locum Childcare Lawyer – East Midlands – Up to £50ph Umbrella

Venn Group's specialist Public Sector Legal Team is delighted to be recruiting for a Locum Childcare Lawyer with a large Local Authority based in the East Midlands.

The team are looking for someone to carry out the role for an initial period of 3 months on a full-time basis but will be flexible on remote working. The Authority offer a manageable protected caseload and direct one-to-one administrative support.

The successful applicant will be expected to carry out various responsibilities including:

• Accountability for a busy caseload, primarily covering section 31s
• Conducting childcare cases including preparation of bundles and papers and assimilation of evidence for submission
• Handling of private law matters including s7 and s37 Children Act 1989 and special Guardianship Orders
• Dealing with matters including emergency applications and adoption matters
• Advising on and conducting Emergency Protection Orders

The role is offering up to £50 p/h umbrella dependent upon experience.
