Opportunity for a Senior Solicitor or existing Head of Department to join this Legal 200 listed firm and lead one of the regions strongest RTA departments. You will need to be an Solicitor with significant management experience and the ability to oversee a successful team.

You will report directly into the founder of this legal 200 law firm.

Your team will have 3 or 4 members which will consist of trainee solicitors and litigation executives.

Once you pass your 3 months probation, you will have the opportunity to work from home 1 day per week. There is also parking available and flexible start and finish times to accommodate out of work commitments.

Your main duties will be to deal with the management of staff and maintain profitability of the department whilst working closely with Senior Partners and Management Board to develop new strategies to help productivity. You will be working in conjunction with a strong marketing team that provides a fantastic stream of work through to the department from all areas of the UK. Other duties will include conducting departmental meetings, dealing with any HR issues, ensuring departmental KPI's are met and planning future growth & expansion of the team.

You will also be expected to deal with a reduced caseload of multi-track matters that will be fully litigated, as well as working directly with a Paralegal & Fee Earner. Any complex matters within the department may be referred on to you for further advice, so experience of multi track and catastrophic injury work would be ideal. Billing figures are high across the department so you will need to ensure these levels are consistently met and the work in place is being dealt with as efficiently as possible.

Salary will be based on experience however will be in the region of £60,000 - £70,000 with added benefits.
