Job Details

Commercial Litigation Solicitor

Leeds

I am working with a leading multi-service, multi-national, commercial law firm in the centre of Leeds who are looking for a talented Commercial Litigator to join their small, but market leading team.

The firm are consistently ranked regional, nationally, and globally as one of the leading litigation practices and boast a 'who's who' list of clients dealing with complex, high value, high quality work.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Commercial Litigation Solicitor at the junior-mid end around 2-3 years' PQE (give or take) to join the tight knit team. Being in a smaller team there is the opportunity to get hands on with the work from the start and not have your efforts diluted as they often can be in a larger team.

The role is a broad mix of commercial litigation work but also with the option to grow into more niche areas if that is a preference in areas such as Pensions litigation, Insurance Litigation, Sanctions/Exports, Procurement and Education litigation.

The right candidate will have trained and worked at a leading national, regional or boutique practice, have excellent academics and be technically strong.

The firm despite being a large global organisation are known for giving opportunities to it's lawyers to progress and grow, a smaller team here means that if you are able to progress, and be noticed and always be involved in the more interesting work.

Salary is highly competitive with great benefits.

If you would like to hear more about the role please contact Graham Rawlinson at QED Legal for a confidential chat.

Company

QED
An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".

As a recruiter you have to network and speak to large amounts of people and lots of law firms to really understand the market and have the connections to match people with opportunity quickly when the time arises. A good recruiter needs to be Quick, Excellent and Dynamic in everything that they do. Allow the team at QED to demonstrate what they can do for your firm or your career.
