TSR Legal have an exciting opportunity with a top-tier Legal 500 law firm based in Bury St. Edmunds who are currently looking for a Family Solicitor to join their busy team.

This firm regularly attract new clients who have previously been using large London-based competitors, but are attracted to the more tailored and personal service that our client can provide.
As such, the caseload here is both varied and interesting and you will be given the opportunity to get involved in high value work. The family department focus on financial remedies and asset protection in relationship breakdowns as well as specialising in children matters. You will need to demonstrate an enthusiasm for business development and expanding your client base. Our client offers fantastic training and career development opportunities and are quick to promote talented staff members in their team.
The right person for this position will be commercially aware and be able to demonstrate experience in a variety of family matters. You will be expected to expand and develop privately funded work in the department while working on an existing caseload with two other fee earners. The role involves large amounts of client engagement and so it is important that you are an effective communicator with a strong ability to build working relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in dealing with high net worth matrimonial cases. Additional duties will include but are not limited to:
- Generating new leads and developing case load in the area
- Undertaking business development
- Working cohesively with the firm’s other offices
Essential Skills:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a diverse caseload
- Commercially astute and up to date with all family/matrimonial matters
- Knowledge of business development
- Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work in a team environment and share best practice with others
- Strong relationship building and client management skills
