Assistant Solicitor – Corporate and Commercial Department

 

The Role

We are seeking a Corporate and Commercial solicitor 2+ PQE for our London office, in the West End.

The role would suit a commercially minded individual with good communication skills and who enjoys business development and will bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.

Under the guidance of more experienced members of the department, the successful applicant should be able to work independently on a mixed case load of corporate and commercial matters for a wide variety of clients.

The applicant must be able to demonstrate their ability in dealing with complex matters, have good solid academics and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

The range of work will include transactions, such as buying and selling businesses, corporate finance and joint venture projects, as well as other matters such as restructuring, terms and conditions and commercial agreements.

The Requirements

· You will be a corporate commercial solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE – with no upper range on experience.

· You will have strong communication skills.

· You will be a good all rounder and be able to be flexible with a willing attitude.

· You will be self-motivated with the ability to manage your workload effectively.

· You will have a keen eye for detail and a professional approach to your work.

If you have exposure to IT, IP or data protection this would be advantageous but not essential.

· Shareholders Agreements.

· Mergers, Acquisitions and Sales.

· Commercial Contracts.

· Terms and Conditions.

· Agency, Manufacturing and Supply Agreements.

· Collaboration and Joint Venture Agreements.

· Business and Software Licenses.

· Franchise Agreements.

· Undertaking Due Diligence.

· Banking and Corporate Finance transactions.

· Participation in Business Development and Marketing activities.
