Come and join our new central operations team at ICAEW, advocating best practice in the management of contractual agreements, ensuring all are subject to appropriate scrutiny, due diligence and risk management.
Playing a key role in the team, you will review, advise and draft commercial contracts so that our commercial interests are protected and risk is minimised. You will see a broad range of subject matter pass your way from a variety of teams, ranging from memorandums of understanding in an educational context to terms and conditions, supplier, SAAS and IT agreements. Collaboration plays an essential part of this role. You will be developing and working with a range of contractual templates and legal documentation as well as reviewing and drafting contractual terms alongside our teams and external legal advisors to find pragmatic, manageable and risk appropriate solutions. You will need to have a good understanding of the the changing contractual environment as well as legislative changes which may impact our commercial arrangements such from IR35, Brexit and GDPR.
As the successful candidate you will be a qualified legal professional with proven experience in commercial contract work. This will include previous experience of contract, scrutiny and negotiation and a sound understanding of commercial contract law. Strong communication and drafting skills, the proven ability to find the common ground in a negotiation and resilience when handling a business’s commercial interests are essential. You will also have a great eye for detail and a focus on quality output. Previous experience working in-house would be an advantage
