Job Details

Corporate/Company/Commercial and Commercial Property Solicitor

I am acting on behalf of a Legal 500 practice who wishes to make a key appointment into their Commercial Department. This is an unusual opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to handle a combined caseload of both corporate, company and commercial matters alongside commercial property.

Acting on behalf of sole traders, partnerships, private limited companies and SMEs, your varied corporate/company/commercial work will include business start-ups, company formation, restructuring of companies, share capital and company administration, shareholders' agreements, joint ventures, e-commerce, franchises, Directors' duties and liabilities, LLPs and partnerships, Terms and Conditions of business, commercial contracts, agency and distribution agreements, banking and finance.

The commercial property matters you will be handling will include the sale and purchase of both freehold and leasehold commercial premises for owner occupation or investment, including offices, retail and industrial units and warehousing; mortgages and re-mortgages of commercial and industrial premises; purchase of property suitable for redevelopment and open land, including site assembly and related environmental and planning issues; land options, joint ventures, exclusivity agreements and conditional contracts; sale, purchase or conversion of houses in multiple occupation (HMO); planning and tax issues and boundaries and rights.

It is envisaged that this role would suit a Solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE as the successful applicant will need to be able to work unsupervised, however applications from more junior Solicitors who feel that they have the requisite ability will also be considered. Therefore this is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to work autonomously and to develop their own team.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive remuneration package, ongoing support and training as required, and genuine career prospects, as the firm is making this appointment with succession planning in mind. Are you the promising prospect this firm is seeking?
