Commercial Property Solicitor - Brighton NQ - 5yrs - £DOE / Competitive

The seagulls are calling!

The Firm

A very well thought of Brighton firm with pedigree and traditional values but a modern, forward thinking approach. They are professional and efficient without taking themselves too seriously which provides for a more 'relaxed' outlook, you will find no culture of presenteeism here, they believe in working effectively within core hours. The commercial property team share a wealth of legal knowledge and expertise with a trusted list of Sussex based clients with further work originating from London.

The Work

The team cover a broad mix of commercial property matters including leasehold enfranchisement matters, landlord and tenant, secured lending and sales and purchase of commercial property. There is an abundance of work at present and plenty of scope to bring on further work with clients from all sectors (in particular several banking institutions) waiting in the wings as soon as the department can secure further expertise, hence the need for this position to be filled.

The Opportunity

For a junior solicitor (NQ+) this represents the perfect environment for you to benefit from the guidance and expertise of two highly experienced commercial property solicitors. You will be given responsibility in line with your current level of knowledge and be supported and all the tools to develop and realise your own ambitions of becoming an established commercial property solicitor in your own right.

For a more experienced solicitor who is both competent and comfortable in handling their own caseload the opportunity exists to develop further without any real barriers, being the only solicitor (non-partner) within the team this could be the position that really does see you take that next step in your career leading to very realistic longer term benefits with both current partners having followed this same pathway.

Additionally if you are a Brightonian taking the long commute to London the firm are willing to have sensible discussions on both remuneration and the benefits of working locally, seeing your family and actually enjoying life by the sea a little more often!

Company

It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".
