My client is a multinational bank that is featured in The Banker's and Forbes rankings as one of the world's largest in the world, with trillions (USD) in assets. They employ nearly 300,000 employees worldwide and have offices in over 60 countries. The company itself is the largest in it's home country, and their UK presence is especially strong, having had an office in London since the 19th century.

Your new role
Sitting within the Asset Management Legal team, this position takes ownership of Legal for the South America region.The role will report in a dotted line into the Head of Legal APAC if you are coming in at a senior level, though will be overseen by the line manager if you are coming in at the junior end. The role has a broad legal scope within Asset Management, taking ownership of global projects within your designated region and implementing them.

You will be managing a lawyer based in your region and working on a number of commercial agreements, as well as legal risk, regulatory, funds, company secretary and corporate governance. You will also manage and deliver training to senior stakeholders within the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will Ideally be a Spanish-speaking UK qualified Lawyer and will accept applications from lawyers who have qualified in a common law jurisdiction. You will ideally be between 6-7 or 9-10 years PQE, though this is a guideline and if you feel that you could do this role comfortably then you will be considered.
