Commercial / Commercial Property Solicitor
Commercial / Commercial Property Solicitor:
The role will be split between commercial and commercial property. It is envisaged that this will be a 50/50 split over the working week. The duties will involve advising internal clients and liaising with other third parties in the giving of commercial and commercial property advice and the drafting of legal documents. The role will be primarily focused on dealing with both the commercial and property related aspects of Academy conversions under the Academies Act 2010. It will also involve a broad range of commercial work from Care Services to Construction, with advice relating to state aid, grant funding and a variety of commercial matters. In addition there will be a wide range of commercial property work, such as sales, purchases, conditional contracts, commercial leases (acting for both Landlord and Tenant), easements and wayleaves. Ideally candidates will have a demonstrable commercial and commercial property background within a local authority setting and credit will be given for the breadth and depth of experience that a candidate can demonstrate. Consideration may be given to lawyers (including newly qualified solicitors ) with relevant experience of both or just one of the two areas of law from any setting, provided they can demonstrate a strong work ethic, a professional attitude, a desire to work in local authority and (where necessary) a willingness to gain experience in a new area of law.
