Family Paralegal, Gillingham
Salary up to £18k (dependent on qualifications and experience)

A growing national law firm is offering the opportunity for an ambitious paralegal - no prior legal experience required - to join their leading team in Gillingham. This is an opportunity to join one of the fastest growing national law firms to fulfil the company's mission by making a positive change in people's lives and delivering the best legal services and care to their clients.

You will be given expert training to deliver a high standard of client care, concentrating on publicly funded matters, predominantly domestic abuse and including private children law and public children law. You will be assessing the merits of your client's case, calculating their eligibility for legal aid and processing their funding application as well as taking witness statements, drafting documents, and preparing for court. There may also be the opportunity to undertake advocacy.

You must be able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment, dealing with matters of a very sensitive and sometimes distressing nature whilst making sure the work is carried out accurately and deadlines are met with ease.

No legal experience is required, so this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves within a firm who will support your long-term career development in Family Law. If this sounds like you, please apply for immediate consideration and I will give you a call regarding your experience and suitability for the role.
