COMMERCIAL DISPUTES PARTNER

Our client is a thriving Top 200 firm with a solid commercial client base and capability to act for SME/OMB and plc clients including lenders and institutions.

As an addition to their Commercial Litigation team they're wanting to make a lateral appointment at Partner level, and to justify that a candidate will most likely be coming from a leading national brand whereby such a person will have a decent contacts network and ingrained best practice when it comes to client relationship management and work generation - Top 50 background would be particularly attractive to our client.

This CDR department wants to elevate itself in the legal market, increase the amount of conflicts work it gets from larger firms, and generally boost its profile. They appreciate the challenges of winning litigation work, but they believe they can support the right person to foster their client relationships, and the potency and systems of this firm is good enough to be able to compete for good work that perhaps falls outside the pricing structures of the larger brands.

They are prepared to make a Partnership case for those looking for that step, be they proven partners or perhaps Legal Directors or Managing Associates who want a step up, and this appointment has the backing of the firms management and of the litigation team itself. The business case isn't about handling existing work or delegating management responsibilities, it is all about fresh impact out there in the market and making a difference to the firm and more specifically the litigation department.
