Venn Group's specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Planning Solicitor to join a Local Authority legal team in the South West. The assignment would be for an initial duration of 3 months, with a strong possibility of further extension whilst they recruit on a permanent basis.

The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of Planning Law and will have managed a large caseload of matters in a Local Government environment.

The day-to-day duties will include:

• Providing advice on a wide range of Planning matters
• Advising and representing clients in negotiations and discussions
• Drafting and negotiating section 106 agreements
• Offering ad-hoc Planning advice where required to clients and colleagues
• Attending Planning inquiries and Planning Committees

The position offers an hourly rate of £35-40 per hour and is offered on a full time or part time basis and the client is able to offer a flexible work pattern including some home working.
