Data Protection Officer

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Data Protection Officer or Lawyer, willing to drive the cause of privacy and data protection across its entire business both nationally and internationally.
This is a high profile role which will require you to interact with senior managers, regulators and data subjects around the world.

The successfull candidate will either be a compliance officer or a lawyer looking to specialise in data protection compliance, with a willingness to become a data protection specialist, or you may already be a data protection specialist. 

Experience of giving advice on regulatory compliance matters is essential. Experience of giving advice on data protection compliance would also be an advantage but is not essential.

The role will allow you to take a holistic approach to the legal, governance and operational aspects of privacy and to do so as a member, and with the support, of the company's Legal team and with access to a wide range of resources.
You will be expected to advise on and oversee implementation of the data protection strategy, deliver training, respond to queries and conduct audits, amongst other tasks.

You will have excellent prioritisation and organisational skills, be self-driven and independent in your approach, and with a proven track record of collaboration with business stakeholders. With the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
