Employment Locum (Long-term)

Employment Lawyer – up to £30 p/h dependent upon experience – Oxfordshire – Long-term

Venn Group's specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Employment Lawyers to join a Public Sector Organisation based in Oxfordshire (commutable from Warwickshire). This contract is due to commence in July/August 2019 and is offered for an initial period of 12 months.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years PQE within Employment Law, a current practicing certificate as a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive. Public Sector experience is not essential for this role.

Duties may include:

• Managing a varied caseload in relation to Employment Tribunal proceedings
• Advising senior managers and HR professionals on strategic and operational matters
• Promoting equality and diversity in working practices
• Attending various meetings across multiple offices. This could entail travel throughout the Thames Valley Region, including travel to London, Cambridge, Watford & Reading

Demonstrable skills:

• In-depth knowledge of employment tribunals and early conciliations
• Experience of advising on employment issues including TUPE, discrimination law and collaborative working
• Have managed own caseload
• Demonstrable drafting and negotiation skills
• The ability to work within a team

An attractive rate of up to £30 per hour is offered (dependant on experience). The client is ideally looking for someone to work on a full-time basis.
