Corporate/Commercial Solicitor

I am acting on behalf of a Legal 500 practice, who has an amazing opportunity for an ambitious Corporate and/or Commercial Solicitor to join their Birmingham team in a role which has huge career progression potential.

You will be joining a nationwide Corporate/Commercial Department whilst working under a Legal 500 acclaimed Partner and thereby enjoying a high calibre caseload whilst benefiting from learning from an expert in their field.

This role is also highly unusual in that the successful candidate will have the opportunity to handle both corporate transactions, M & A work and joint ventures alongside commercial contracts and agreements, although you do not necessarily need to have experience of both areas to be considered for this role.

Our client is egalitarian and everyone sits together as equals, there is no enforced hierarchy and they promote a happy and comfortable working environment and pride themselves on their employee retention record and their long serving staff members.

The successful candidate joining this Birmingham team will have the opportunity to progress quickly through the ranks, as there will be no-one between you and the Partners and the criteria to achieve this rapid progression is detailed on the firm's intranet.

This exciting opportunity would therefore suit someone who can see the potential of the role and what is on offer and grab it with both hands. What is more, this appointment is being made with succession planning in mind, so there is a clear path to partnership for the right individual.

It is envisaged that the role would suit a Solicitor with 1 to 4 years' PQE, however applications from exceptional Newly-Qualifieds and more experienced candidates will also be welcomed. You will ideally have experience of both corporate and commercial work, however candidates who have only handled one specialism are also invited to apply, as the caseload could be flexed accordingly.

As well as enjoying all of the above, you will be paid a competitive salary and benefits package and you will receive ongoing support and training as required.
