Duty Solicitor

A highly reputable firm are looking for a Criminal Duty Solicitor to join the team based in the Blackburn office. This is an exciting time for the firm are they are looking for someone to spearhead the expansion of the Criminal dept as well as handle a full and varied caseload of both crown court and magistrates files.

The firm have a substantial presence within the Criminal practice area across the North West and have a market leading criminal dept headed up by a Director. They are looking for a duty solicitor to join the team and handle a complex caseload of high quality work .

Ideally you will have your higher rights so as to handle a mix of both magistrates work and crown court trials - although higher rights of advocacy are not absolutely necessary if you have a desire to develop you career further as the firm may sponsor this. Ideally you will have previous management experience.

Progression opportunities arise frequently within this firm as the department expands and junior members of staff are brought on.
