Childcare Solicitor

A well-established multi-office law firm is seeking an experienced family solicitor/childcare solicitor to join them in Manchester.

You will be joining a family team with a strong reputation in family/childcare work and have a high profile with offices close to the Civil Justice Centre in Manchester.
 
Your role as the childcare solicitor will be to handle a caseload of predominantly child care matters including representing children, parents and other relatives and guardians, undertaking your own advocacy representing clients in the Crown and High Court. You will play an active part in marketing the Family Department to generate further work and build up your own client base. 
 
You must be a qualified family solicitor/childcare solicitor advocate with at least 3+ years' PQE in handling your own caseload of care matters. You will also be a Children's Panel Member and be used to undertaking your own advocacy. Knowledge and a history of compliance with Lexcel and SQM would be helpful but is not essential as training will be given.   

A following of guardian work through Cafcass and an ability to facilitate work from social services and other referrals would be highly desirable. In addition, Higher Rights of Audience would be beneficial.
