Solicitor/Barrister (Child Care) – Post Ref: CE134

Salary: PO1 - 10, £30,507 to £38,813 per annum/pro rata (dependent on experience)

Permanent contracts, based in central Halifax

1 x full time (37 hours per week)

1 x job share (hours subject to discussion)

We are seeking to recruit an experienced qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive Advocate to work within our Child Care Team.  Applicants for one of the two positions are particularly encouraged who have an interest in developing their advocacy practice.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of the law and practice relating to safeguarding children litigation and proven advocacy skills to represent the Council in contested proceedings. You will need to be highly motivated, enthusiastic and work effectively as part of a team.
