NPLAW is an award-winning shared legal service providing legal advice and representation to a wide range of public authorities in England and Wales. We were established in 2010 and have more than 90 staff.

This team provides a full service to a variety of local authorities and other public bodies, which includes: complex section 106 agreements (from major residential developments and associated infrastructure to sites to be used for mineral extraction with difficult environmental issues to be controlled);  advice on the community infrastructure levy, lawful use, complex enforcement work,  local plan development, interpretation and implementation, EIA and ES, development management; representation at planning committees and hearings and advocacy at public inquiries; highway diversions and other highway matters and advice; revocation orders; and planning, housing, listed buildings and highways compulsory purchase orders together with advice on compensation.

You should be a solicitor, barrister or FCILEX. You will need previous client relationship management experience, effective negotiating and drafting skills and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases of varying complexity. Ideally you will also have advocacy experience.
