An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the collaborative Legal Services Department of South Yorkshire and Humberside Police.

LEGAL SERVICES OFFICER

LOCATION – CARBROOK, SHEFFIELD / PRIORY ROAD, HULL

PERMANENT

HOURS - 37

SALARY - £25,566-£30,195

Our experienced legal team are seeking to recruit a Legal Services Officer, CILEX Level 3 qualified or higher. You will mainly deal with requests for disclosure of police held information into Children Act Proceedings, civil claims on behalf of the Chief Constables, and provide internal advice on legal aspects of Force policy and procedure.

You will work as part of a talented team, providing a comprehensive range of legal advice and representation to the Chief Constable but in the main, you will deal with civil claims.

Accordingly, you must demonstrate strong civil litigation skills and have the necessary flexibility to offer support in the handling of other aspects of policing.

The role will be across both Forces at each Force Headquarters, at Carbrook, Sheffield and Priory Road, Hull.
