Our highly regarded Crime Team are criminal law specialists, described in Chambers and Partners UK 2019 as “Pre-eminent team that offers in-depth experience across all areas of criminal law. Particularly well versed in representing individuals charged with highly serious offences, including murder and terrorism. Offers niche expertise in acting for journalists and those charged with public order offences, drawing on additional strength in human rights issues. Also assists clients in appeals against earlier convictions.”

We are looking for a solicitor who is 4-8 years PQE, has significant experience in our key areas of practise and who is able to undertake a mixture of privately funded and legal aided criminal defence work. The candidate will also be qualified as a LAA Supervisor. We are principally interested in applicants who have experience of dealing with novel, high profile, serious or complex cases across a range of court venues. Own referrer base will also be an advantage.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified solicitor with an excellent academic background;
  • Qualified LAA Supervisor;
  • Experience in all areas of Criminal law is essential;
  • Experience in extradition and international law desirable;
  • Experience in investigations, search warrants and production orders desirable.
