The Council wishes to appoint a solicitor or barrister on a 2 year temporary contract within the Children, Adults & Health team to help meet new challenges in Adult social care.
Candidates should be motivated individuals willing to challenge the status quo and have a passion for driving organisational change. You must be a qualified solicitor with a current practicing certificate, or a qualified barrister, (or about to finish training) with knowledge of relevant legislation including Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Mental Health Act 1983. Recent experience of court of protection work will be required, knowledge and understanding of financial disputes involving an incapacitated person will be of benefit.
