Locum Corporate Governance Solicitor & Deputy Monitoring Officer – £50 to £60 p/h – South East
Venn Group's specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Locum Corporate Governance Solicitor and Deputy Monitoring Officer to join a dynamic, forward thinking Local Authority in the Northern Home Counties.
The role is offered for an initial period of 6 months with a preferred start date of either August or September. Both full-time and part-time applicants are encouraged to apply whilst flexible working arrangements will also be considered for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will have local authority experience in a similar role.
Duties will include, amongst others:
- Assisting Principal Solicitors with corporate governance and ethical standards issues complaints and FOI/DPO matters such as internal reviews and requests for general advice
- Advising the local authority on a range of issues to include corporate governance and ethical standards, freedom of information and data protection matters including internal reviews and requests for general advice
- Whilst there wouldn't be any direct management responsibility for staff, the successful candidate may be required to provide some professional supervision on certain cases
This role is offering an attractive rate of between £50 and £60 p/h (umbrella) dependent upon experience.
