Position Title: Senior Solicitor
Salary: Grade 9 £38,813 to £42,683 (Bar at £41,675) per annum 
Contract Type: Full Time Permanent
Hours: 35 per week

You will have sufficient knowledge and experience to manage a mixed case load with minimum supervision. You will conduct proceedings and act as an advocate in the County Court and Magistrates' Court dealing with most aspects of Social Housing and Landlord & Tenant law, Anti-social Behaviour, Possession, Estate Management, Homelessness, Housing Disrepair. To act as legal adviser to Manchester City Council and Salford City Council departments, and other Registered Providers of Social Housing, providing high level, high quality legal advice in respect of the above areas of law. 

You will be a Qualified Solicitor or Barrister or FILEX with Civil Proceedings Certificate, and will be able and committed to working in a flexible manner including outside normal office hours, when the role necessitates the same. You will be a key member of the group, yet confident and able to work independently and act upon their initiative. 

The Manchester City Council Housing and Neighbour Nuisance legal team is based in the Town Hall complex, and provides high quality advice, assistance and representation to a variety of Manchester and Salford City Council departments, and outside bodies, including local Registered Providers of Social Housing.on a wide range of Housing and Anti-social Behaviour of law, including, Possession, Housing Disrepair, Homelessness, Antisocial Behaviour, Landlord and Tenant, and Estate Management areas of law.
