Job Details

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercial litigation solicitor to join this highly regarded international law firm in Central London, as head of the commercial litigation department.

You will be working with clients ranging from startups to international and multi-national companies, including more than 50 of the Fortune Global 500 organisations in South East Asia and the Far East.

The team deals with a wide range of commercial litigation matters including contract disputes, product liability, employers and public liability claims, insurance/reinsurance, debt recovery, mediation/arbitration/adjudication, enforcement and execution of foreign judgments, injunctions, insolvency and property related litigation.

Currently, the team are working on disputed debt cases; dispute over goods imported into the UK but impounded due to insufficient duty payment - dispute over who is liable for this, the buyer or the seller assisting a wealthy client whose bank accounts were frozen due to suspicious inward transactions - liaising with the police and attending magistrates court to obtain temporary access to funds, etc, post-termination restrictive covenant enforcement and a negligence claim against a client’s former solicitors.

This is a growing and progressive firm with a bright future, they are winning high value and complex cases across the board in all their practice areas against top city law firms.

The offices are open plan, the team is friendly, supportive and approachable and consequently you will get access to all practice areas and teams in the office ranging from immigration, property, commercial employment and HR.

They are looking for someone who is going to be prepared to take a proactive approach to the development of the department and will take some responsibility for its growth as the head of department role.
