LAW Absolute are working with a local authority shared service based in the Midlands/East Anglia region who are actively seeking an Principal Adult Social Care Lawyer for a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will be required to deal with the following:

  • Advise on the full remit of adult social care issues to include DOLs applications,
  • No recourse to public funds,
  • Court of protection applications,
  • Mental capacity issues and ordinary residence and,
  • Have a good understanding of the Care Act 2014 and ideally have some childcare exposure.

Candidates must have the above mentioned experience and the ability to manage a team as well as deputise for the Head of Service as required. The team comprises of  six lawyers, one principal paralegal and a paralegal. 

Our client is looking for someone who is able to focus the efforts of the team, allocate and manage workflow and have the confidence to manage all of their own queries.

Local authority experience would be advantageous however, candidates from the private sector are encouraged to apply.
