My clients forward thinking, innovative and friendly law firm based in Newbury, Thatcham and Maidenhead, has grown substantially in recent years to a turnover of just over £7.5m and a headcount in excess of 135.

Your new role
A great opportunity for an NQ - 4 to join a professional firm and enjoy a wide variety of cases working in a superb team with scope to progress up the career ladder. working underneath more senior partners and solicitors, you will be guided and given responsibility to prove your self. The managing partner has expressed the firms open mindedness when it comes to candidates as well as their work ethos whilst the new found want for expansion is clear to see. The department you will be working for is the firms flagship specialism however the opportunity to get involved with other teams is ever increasing in relation to the firms changing ideas to cover more specialisms. The firms office has a lively feel to it whilst offering a high performance culture with people who are passionate about what they do.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position you must be a UK qualified solicitor with a strong academic record and a coherent understanding of commercial property matters. You should have considerable experience working within a commercial property department and have knowledge of leases, management work, sales and purchases freehold and leaseholds, grant and taking of leases, licences and some corporate support work. There is a wide range of clients including small and medium business to large corporates and PLC's, charities and public sector bodies including NHS organisations. The ideal candidate will also have experience and knowledge of residential sales, drafting & analytical skills and be capable of providing both verbal and written advice to clients which is too the point. This position will report into the head of the commercial property team.
