Our client a busy Local Authority based in East Anglia, is seeking a Planning Lawyer to join their team for an initial three month assignment with the strong possibility of extension.
The scale of development within the area is unique and this is a great opportunity for candidates looking to further their experience on large strategic schemes within the public sector. Our client is looking for someone who can take on a reasonably large caseload (albeit at the less complex level) from day one.
The successful candidate will be required to pick up an existing caseload including:
- Judicial reviews,
- Planning inquiries and enforcement,
- Planning committee work,
- Negotiation and completion of complex and high value s106 planning agreements,
- s278 agreements.
Flexible working hours and working from home can be provided. Although this role is available on a locum basis, there is the potential for the role to become permanent.
