Litigation Paralegal (Medical Negligence)
FTC
Salary - £24,000
Location - Southport
My client, a Personal Injury specialist law firm, are currently looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join their Medical Negligence team, the role at hand will involve working on allocated cases, corresponding with customers and liaising with experts to ensure the cases are conducted efficiently.
Tasks:
* Supporting the team to provide top-drawer customer care
* Proactive case management and progression
* Supporting delivery of the teams financial KPI's
* Thorough time recording.
Responsibilities:
* Working with customers to enable that relevant information is collected and collated to enable progression of the allocated case in a commercial manner.
* Gathering the relevant medical evidence to confirm the condition and prognosis of the customer
* Drafting correspondence as required inclusive of LOCs and Letter of Instructions.
* Chasing up medical record and researching relevant medical conditions
* Negotiating the settlements attached to each case.
* Issue and service of proceedings should it be required.
Essential Skills and Exp:
* Experience of handling a medical negligence case load.
* Excellent organisational skill and time management
* Proficient IT Skills in respect of MS Office Packages and Proclaim.
* Excellent drafting skills and experience of drafting legal documentation
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent customer care and communication skills
