Our client, one of the fastest growing Sports Technology Companies Globally is looking for a general commercial lawyer to work in a quasi-legal and business facing role.
The CEO is looking for entrepreneurial, commercial and strategic lawyers who may be interested in being part of the commercial sales team. The role will work alongside the CEO to help advise on the strategic direction of the business.. The business is finding that the contracts the sales teams are involved in are becoming increasingly complex and technical. The CEO therefore feels that a lawyer would likely be better placed to drive these deals through as they will ultimately have a far better understanding of the detail.
There may also be an opportunity to support the General Counsel on more traditional legal work if this is important to candidates.
To be considered for the role you will ideally:
- Qualified solicitor (a must)
- Be open to working in a non-traditional legal role and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial and businesses focused environment
- Be solutions orientated
- A strategic thinker
- Strong commercial acumen
- Enjoy working in an autonomous environment
- Have experience in/enjoy the commercials of deals
- Ideally have sports, data, betting and / or rights experience and understand the regulatory requirements within these areas
