Legal Contracts Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Contracts Manager to join a highly reputable Research Organisation that is based in Cambridgeshire. This is a great opportunity for an experienced contracts professional to work alongside world leading scientists and be sole legal advisor for all contracts matters in a great organisation.

This is a full-time position offered for an initial 6 months with a strong possibility of a permanent contract if successful. The salary on offer for the role ranges between £38,000 - £42,000 per annum dependent upon experience and comes with a great pension scheme. The organisation will also consider part-time applicants who are able to work 30 hours per week.

For the position, our client is ideally looking for a qualified Solicitor. However, non-qualified candidates with proven experience advising on a wide range of contracts matters relating to research and intellectual property matters would also be considered for the role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Reviewing existing template agreements and ensuring that they are fit for purpose & have assessed the obligations and risks associated with each contract
• Minimising risk and ensuring that the organisation have access to Intellectual Property Rights relating to their research
• Regulating and improving the existing contracting process including it's appropriateness & implementation within the organisation including costings and contracting policies
