Job Details

We are looking for an experienced and motivated lawyer to join our team at Harlow Council.


The role is varied, interesting and fast paced. The successful candidate will need to be able to undertake and provide advice and have responsibility for a varied and demanding case load.  Including all aspects of housing law, landlord and tenant both commercial and residential, regulatory work and planning.
The post requires that you undertake advocacy before the Magistrates and County Courts and Tribunals on behalf of the Council.  To include drafting and preparing prosecutions and civil actions both defending and bringing on behalf of the Council.


Ideally you will have worked for a local authority previously, have knowledge of LEXCEL processes and knowledge of using a case management system, our Legal Services Department uses Visual Files.
