Vulnerability Lawyer, Weymouth or Bournemouth,
Dorset – Salary £34,614 - £38,700 plus market supplement
of £2,500 per annum (weekend working payment also
applicable) – Two posts available – Fixed Term Contract
for 12 months

This is an exciting opportunity for two motivated lawyers to work alongside police officers, protecting victims from domestic violence by obtaining Domestic Violence Protection Orders (DVPOs). You will work as part of a wider in-house
legal team to protect vulnerable members of the community by providing legal advice to police officers and staff throughout Dorset, making applications for DVPOs at court, training officers and partner agencies, and responding to
DVPO breaches.
You must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of operational policing, DVPOs, human rights and have handled contentious matters previously.

For all roles, you must be a qualified solicitor, barrister or Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. You must be able to demonstrate previous advocacy experience and experience of working in a demanding environment, being able to offer advice within time constraints. Successful applicants
will be required to undertake role specific training as indicated in the role profiles. The ability to travel is essential for these roles.
