Leading on our front line service to Litigants in Person within the Royal Courts of Justice:  responding to court referrals and cases with urgent deadlines.

We are a unique Citizens Advice national service delivering legal advice to Litigants in Person across England and Wales from our base in the Royal Courts of Justice and also family legal advice from our office in the Central London Family Court.

This is a new post within our civil legal team which consists of 5 lawyer and over 250 pro bono volunteers. We provide procedural legal advice to over 10,000 Litigants in Person a year with cases in the Court of Appeal, High Court and County Court and co-ordinate a wide range of pro bono advocacy schemes. We have a legal aid housing contract and deliver a national immigration consultancy service.

You will lead on delivering initial civil legal advice to Litigants in Person attending our reception and will respond to court referrals which can often require urgent attention. You will be an experienced civil solicitor and will also deliver face to face and telephone legal advice appointments and supervise our daily pro bono volunteer sessions.

You will be 2 years + post qualified and have extensive experience of civil procedures.

We offer 30 days annual leave.
