Job Details

Passionate, Hard Working and Skilled Construction Lawyer Needed for an In-house Position:

Our client is looking for a Construction Solicitor to join their highly regarded in-house team based in central Lancashire. The role will require an ability to work with complex legal issues, provide clear and concise advice on them and find commercial solutions for the business in line with acceptable governance and processes. The role also requires an ability to work independently and pro-actively.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years PQE
  • A Construction Contracts lawyer focusing on the full remit of non-contentious and some aspects of contentious matters
  • Drafting, negotiating, and settling of various forms of engineering and construction standard (JCT and/or NEC) and non-standard contractual documentation
  • Advising the company on a wide range of construction arrangements and other diverse legal matters including commercial property

Solicitors with both contentious and non-contentious experience will be considered, although the role will be predominantly non-contentious - it offers an excellent opportunity to act across all areas of Construction.

In-house experience would be desirable, but the client would consider a private practice lawyer looking to move in-house who could point to good business and commercial skills.

Our client envisages that candidates with a minimum of 2 years PQE plus will have the relevant skills / knowledge for this position, however this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant experience.

For more information on this great in-house opportunity please contact Nick Warren at QED Legal. If this position isn't for you but you know someone who could be suitable then please let us know. We offer a reward fee for any successful referrals. For full details please see our website.
