In-House Lawyer
The League Managers Association is the collective, representative voice of all managers from the Premier League, the Championship, Leagues 1 and 2, the Women’s Super League and the FA Women’s Championship.
The LMA continues to develop its support and service offering to its members and its influence within the game. As part of its continuing drive to achieve and maintain excellence in the provision of services to its members, the LMA is looking to recruit an In-House Lawyer to help deliver the LMA’s Legal Services.
The successful candidate will be a skilled and experienced lawyer having specialist knowledge of employment law and a proven track record in contentious and non-contentious work. He or she will be an excellent communicator, capable of delivering a rapid response, often in challenging circumstances, to members’ needs for legal advice and representation. The role will also involve assisting in relation to regulatory issues faced by members and representing the LMA in its dealings with football and other authorities. He or she will report to the LMA’s Legal Director and will liaise and work with the LMA’s retained QC and Legal Panel.

Role purpose: To support the LMA’s Legal Director with the provision of the LMA’s Legal Services
Location: St George’s Park, Burton upon Trent, with travel to London and elsewhere as reasonably required
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, although weekend and evening work will sometimes be required
Salary: Competitive - dependent on experience

To represent members at FA
disciplinary hearings
