Childcare Lawyer - FTC 12 months
PO3/PO5: Starting Salary £38,403 pa rising in annual increments to £47,424 pa including London Waiting
(Experienced lawyers may qualify for an optional additional 8% recruitment and retention allowance subject to terms and conditions).
Lambeth Legal Services prides itself in providing an excellent legal advice service to its clients and is Lexcel and ISO accredited. We are seeking an experienced and resilient lawyer to join our busy and dynamic Childcare legal team of 5 lawyers and 4 paralegals for a 12 month period.
The successful candidate will be required to hit the ground running and undertake a full childcare caseload of both public law proceedings and pre proceedings as well adoption matters. As an in-house child care lawyer you will also be responsible for making a positive contribution to the continuous improvement in the quality and cost effectiveness of the service within a busy, friendly and supportive team.
You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or FILEX with previous experience of working within a local authority childcare role, which is essential. Law Society Children Panel membership is desirable. Although we have a team of in-house advocates, you will also be required to undertake your own advocacy on some of your cases, so previous experience of advocacy is desirable.
In return, we also provide a high level of administrative and paralegal support. We work in an innovative environment with flexible ways of working, which includes working from home arrangements. We use an electronic case management, electronic bundles and a digital courtroom so candidates need to be highly IT literate.
The closing date for receiving completed application forms is Sunday 9 June 2019 at midnight.
Lambeth is committed to Safer Recruitment and aims for quality services and equal opportunities for all.
