Performance & Quality Manager – EHC
An exciting opportunity for a Performance & Quality Manager - EHC to join our SEN Team in Northamptonshire.
The role focuses on evaluating, preparing and presenting tribunal cases.
This is an exciting and varied role within a dynamic SEN Team who are looking for a capable, articulate and highly motivated individual with the ability to work against strict tribunal deadlines and to build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Evaluating tribunal appeals and advising team manager on
response.
• Taking instructions from SEN staff.
• Maintaining schedules of tribunal dates with strict accuracy
• Drafting response to tribunal appeals
• Representing the local authority at tribunal hearings
• Setting up and maintaining files
• Managing the disclosure of documents and preparing hearing
bundles
• Assisting in the taking of witness statements
• Undertaking tribunal case management tasks such as telephone
case hearings, collating documents, arranging and attending
case meetings.
• Undertaking legal research
• Other general administrative duties to support case
management
Skills and attributes
• Experience of working as a paralegal/ part-qualified Legal
Executive in a special educational needs/educational
environment.
• Good understanding of the relevant law
• Initiative and proactive approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to build effective working relationships across a diverse
range of professionals
• Excellent organisational and administration skills
• Must be able to travel and have a drivers licence
