Adult Social Care Lawyer

Our local authority client is actively seeking an experience Adult Social Care Senior Legal Officer for three months initially with possible extension. Remote working is also an option to those that have this requirement.

The role is primarily to deal with Section 21A and Community DOLS work although there will be an expectation to assist in other Adult Social Care matters as required. You will be required to advise on the full remit of adult social care issues to include no recourse to public funds, court of protection applications, mental capacity issues and ordinary residence. You will be expected to have a good understanding of the Care Act 2014 and ideally have some childcare exposure.

Our client is ideally seeking candidates with local authority experience however, candidates from the private sector are encouraged to apply. Due to the urgency around the position, you will be required to be available on no more than two weeks’ notice.
